About the Artist
Zheng Hao is a contemporary multidisciplinary artist born in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China, in 2000. He began his artistic practice in 2019, developing a body of work that examines emotional experience, everyday life, and the relationship between reality and imagined worlds.
Between 2020 and 2022, Zheng created two major bodies of work, The Sun: Love and Scorching Anxiety and Red. After graduating from Suzhou University of Science and Technology in 2022, he continued expanding his practice across different materials and forms.
From 2023 to 2025, Zheng studied in the MA Fine Art program at Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London. During this period, he developed the UTOPIA series and Eight Tragic Stories, bringing together oil painting, fiction, poetry, sculpture, and moving image.

Creative Practice
Zheng Hao’s practice moves between visual art and literature, combining oil painting, fiction, poetry, sculpture, and moving image. Rather than treating these media as separate disciplines, he uses them as interconnected ways of constructing narratives, expressing psychological states, and examining personal experience.
Alongside his studio practice, Zheng has participated in different forms of work, ranging from education to manual labor. These experiences form an important part of his creative process, allowing encounters with everyday life, physical work, and different social environments to become sources of observation and artistic inspiration.
His projects frequently develop as extended series. Works such as The Sun: Love and Scorching Anxiety, Red, UTOPIA, and Eight Tragic Stories reveal an ongoing interest in emotional tension, imagined environments, human experience, and the boundaries between reality and fiction.
